We have an exciting opportunity for a junior artist to join us through our territory Studio Apprenticeship. Applications are open for UK-based candidates with full rights to work.
How to Apply
Please send through your CV and your reels/ a portfolio or some personal work you have created. Applications without submissions of animated work will not be accepted.
We will select a group of candidates to move to the first-stage conversation with our Talent Team. After which we will select the final few to be invited to the studio for a day with our Creative Directors and the opportunity to meet the team.
Candidates who are selected to be in the final round will be assigned a task to create an animated image, which will be done in the weeks prior to attending the Apprenticeship selection day in the Studio. The details of the task will be shared with the applicants who make it to the final round and will be fully briefed on what we are looking for.
Our Creative Directors will then judge the final submissions from candidates and we will award a one-year contract to work with Territory Studio
The Role
The Motion Design Apprenticeship has a pivotal role to play in the studio and across multiple outputs. Upholding and helping to realise client briefs, creative concepts and internal direction they will work as part of the wider creative team across motion graphics, brand content, experiential, visual effects and screen graphics projects.
It is expected that you will deliver exceptional creative work at the highest level for which Territory Studio has become known.
We want someone who is hungry to learn, push themselves and support the team structure.
Responsibilities
To produce creative work of the exceptional standard with which Territory Studio has made its name.
Ability to work to a brief and under the direction of an Art Director, meeting deadlines and keeping within the scope of projects.
To understand the goals for your work, daily tasks and deadlines.
Confident working alone as well as in a team. Able to organise own time well in order to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.
Work as a team with other designers, participating in departmental meetings and creative activities, as required.
Ability to interpret feedback, whether from Art Director, producers or clients, and make changes to creative work in response to this feedback.
Receive feedback from the wider team and clients on creative work day-to-day, ensuring only the best work leaves the studio.
Remain up-to-date with current creative trends and innovations in motion graphics and apply these to Territory’s work.
Occasionally take part in client calls and meetings.
Ensure tasks are completed on time and actively seek to help the team where possible.
Participate in departmental and company-wide meetings and events, as required.
Skills
An understanding of Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effect and C4D a must.
Can communicate ideas verbally and visually.
Excellent people and team-working skills.
Working knowledge of current creative trends and innovations in motion graphics.

Salary will be London weighted
