The Role
Territory Studio is looking for an experienced and proactive Studio Manager to take responsibility for all office operations, as well as scheduling and onboarding freelance talent. This position is the hub of our studio so it requires flexibility, organization, self motivation, and the ability to take initiative in a busy working environment.

CONTRACT: Full-Time, Exempt (40 hours/week)
Job Description
- Manage resource scheduling, talent outreach and onboarding/offboarding freelance talent by tracking legal documents, and maintaining freelancer contact database.
- Lead weekly resource meetings.
- Plan and organize internal and external events including the annual summer & holiday events, Show & Tells, Lunch & Learns, happy hours and weekly team building.
- Proactively take charge of everyday office operations including organization, ordering equipment & software licenses, restocking kitchen, ordering Wednesday breakfasts, scheduling cleaning service and overall appearance.
- Liaise with UK accounting team. This person will be in charge of timely reconciliation of credit card statements and receipts, processing and tracking invoices.
- Manage studio operations budget by tracking monthly expenditures.
- Create and submit expense reports.
- Open and close the studio on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Manage studio calendar.
- Be the point-of-contact for building management, studio improvements, repairs and maintenance.
- Professionally greet clients and guests; ensure the conference areas are set up for meetings, virtual calls are set up on time and the studio is presentable.
- Support the creative, production and finance teams as well as the Systems Administrator.
- Collaborate with IT and HR on the successful onboarding of new employees and freelancers
- Work with travel agent and/or research, arrange and book travel as needed.
- Manage ordering and shipping of staff & client holiday gifts.
- Ensure weekly freelance and staff timecards are completed.
- Stay up to date on potential community-building opportunities, relevant events, and new freelancers for the studio.
- Perform other studio-related projects as needed.
Key Skills & Attributes
- 3-4 years of office management experience required, ideally in a fast-growing agency or creative studio.
- Ability to be on-site in the San Francisco office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Passion and curiosity for working in the creative industry.
- Experience with basic accounting support is required.
- Event planning experience (virtual and in-person) is required.
- Ability to work independently, be self-driven and prioritize a multitude of requests.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication, follow up and writing skills.
- A natural problem-solver and planner with the ability to think on their feet.
- An outgoing “people person” with a drive to be supportive to their team.
- Excellent organization and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Mac, Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Proactivity, being a team player, and flexibility are keys to success in this role.
