Character Design
We started with a dedicated research and development phase to confirm the best approach and tools to achieve the desired output. We worked with 20SOMETHING’s character casting brief to devise faces, voices, and identities that could work to achieve a persuasive, nuanced performance.
For the conceit of the creative to work effectively, it was essential to convince the audience of the ‘realness’ of the characters. To achieve this at production standard meant forcing generative tools to be consistent with position, background, lighting, zoom, eye position, realness, and other performance and capture variables. While generative video offers impressive quality and speed, consistency is typically an issue (at time of writing!).
