When creating the key art for the second instalment of the hit The Boys spin-off, Gen V, we carefully considered multiple elements to capture the essence of the new season. This upcoming chapter continues to delve into the dark themes established in Season 1, balanced by moments of lightheartedness, rebellion, and, of course, the superhuman. The artwork needed to evoke intrigue while staying true to the show’s distinctive tone. Both the Resist and Reflections designs achieve this, sparking viewer interest and hinting at the season’s complex themes and characters.

Reflections

Reflections presents a striking, blood-filled mirrored image of the ensemble cast. The bold contrast between the blue tones and deep red blood subtly references Compound V, the superpower-inducing serum familiar to fans. This design further emphasises the season’s dark and intense narrative.

Out of Home

In addition to the key art, we extended the campaign to include impactful out-of-home assets for San Diego Comic-Con, creating immersive experiences with tram wraps and a striking building wrap. These large-scale installations brought the season’s visual identity into the real world, amplifying the tension and drama of the show’s narrative while engaging fans in high-traffic environments.
