Returning to the iconic Manhattan firehouse, Gary Grooberson (Paul Rudd) and the Spenglers discover an ancient artefact that unleashes an evil paranormal force. With Ghostbusters, both new and old, fighting side by side, the stakes have never been higher. Territory was commissioned to design screen graphics for two sets. The first is an IBM CRT screen that displays the Ectoplasm Ionic Extraction machine processing the extraction of spirits. The second is a video game on the TV in Nadeem's apartment, which helps present the character as a layabout.
Lars Pinfield (portrayed by James Acaster) is a parabiologist and paranormal technologist at Ghostbusters Engineer Corps. In the Paranormal Research Centre, Lars presents one of his technologies the Ectoplasm Ionic Extraction Machine which removes possessed spirits from haunted items.
