From award-winning director Anthony Wonke, the film tells the story of how the Johnnie Walker brand overcame great struggles including flooding, a flu pandemic and two world wars and is still standing strong today. It follows the rise of the brand from humble beginnings to being portrayed in Hollywood movies, sung about by stars and becoming a recognised name across the world.
Our work was inspired by archive footage, typography and historical advertising, which we helped bring to life with our expertise in motion and storytelling. We created a sequence which took the language of print and dispersed it into the depth of the frame. This allowed us to create a unique and arresting title sequence with one foot in the past and one in the future, reflecting the forward-thinking brand that is 'Johnnie Walker'.
