Onur is an award-winning designer and director from Istanbul, Turkey. He studied traditional painting and figure drawing followed by an animation degree during which he took part in several collaborative exhibitions with works in both print and animation.
Professionally, he started by directing commercials for international brands such as Lipton, Guinness, Chocapic, Arcelik, Nestle, Asics, Magnum, Audi, Unilever and EA. He directed Pens for Amnesty International which won a Lion in Cannes in 2014 followed by 13 other awards from the Clio Awards, LIA, Eurobest, Epica, Shots Awards, Cristal and the Art Director’s Club in Paris in 2015.
Outside of commercial work, he conceived the art direction of the opening titles of David Fincher’s version of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” by combining his design, animation and creative direction.
VIZIO TV’s are a synergy of power, technology, and beautiful design. The creative development process focused on designing a series of eye-popping, high-energy technological abstractions representing key product features.

The Main Title for OFFF Milano & Digital Design Days 2017 is an art deco period-inspired, science-fiction piece that features ‘perfect’ machines and mechanisms with imperfect humans and creatures. Onur wanted to create the perfect collaboration and invited designers, artists. and craftspeople to join forces for the production with the aim to combine special and makeup effects with computer-generated visuals seamlessly. Sound design and the music was created in the spirit of the iconic soundtracks composed during the 1960s unifying the language, complementing, and completing the visual world.
Refrigerator manufacturer Arcelik created a new model of carbon-fibre refrigerator. This film follows the story of the carbon-fibre materials which is used in racing cars, yachts, space technology, and finally concludes its journey in a kitchen.

MetaRun is a futuristic take on the intensive testing facilities found at ASICS headquarters in Japan. Commissioned as an integrated product film, we were determined to push the boundaries of the project after their last ASICS film, Running Expansions took accolades back in 2010. Onur took on the challenge from his side, chosen for his highly aesthetic and future-facing graphic eye.

Amnesty International in collaboration with its agency TBWA Paris. Directed by Onur Senturk, Pens is a full CG film shot in motion capture that epitomizes the potential of each signature in the defence of human rights. Highlighting the voice of a single person can bring about the birth of a social movement, the film concludes with the words “your signature is more powerful than you think” and features the song Iron “Sky” by Paolo Nutini. Through powerful imagery, Amnesty International has encapsulated the essence of its primary objective – inspiring communities to defend their fundamental human rights.

Guinness – “Bottle Bang” is mixture of colorful vignettes representing concepts and characteristics of Guinness, juxtaposed with Space imagery combined with explosive and implosive energy. Co-directed with Kyle Cooper.

HONOR Witness the Magic Hour is a minimalist poem dedicated to the design and craftsmanship behind the brand. It is a journey through small and also monumental landscapes resembling canyons and mountains inspired from Magic3 Series.
