Made for explorers, the LPV6 Chronomark Watch is the perfect addition to any space pioneer’s collection. In Bethesda Game Studios’ most ambitious game yet, Starfield features the last group of space explorers, Constellation, in search of rare artifacts scattered across the stars.
A key item, the protagonist's timepiece, not only plays a significant
role in the game but is also available for gamers to wear in the real world as part of the special 'Starfield Constellation Edition' of the game.
In collaboration with Bethesda Softworks and AKQA, Territory Studio worked with director Onur Senturk to create a commercial-style trailer that presents a narrative to frame this special timepiece.
With both symbolic and aesthetic similarities to a clock face, the Star maps serve as the thematic thread weaving through the intergalactic narrative. The first map is a replica of our own solar system with its harmonious gravitational orbits. The concentric circles were initially created in Adobe Illustrator to establish the layout’s foundation they were then imported into After Effects for fluid animations that elegantly convey humanity’s expansion into the cosmos.
The 3D model of the watch was brought into Cinema4D so it could be treated and contextualised with the film’s design language and textures. Features of the real-world watch include syncing to mobile devices for reading messages, music controls, and other smartwatch functions.
