The OA Part II

“The OA Part II” makes use of several recognizable San Francisco landmarks including the 16th Avenue Tiled Steps. The show follows private eye Karim Washington as he searches for a missing teen involved in a popular iPhone app named “Q Symphony.”

Characters play by answering a riddle presented via AR. The further they explore, the more intertwined the game becomes with the real world. Visual specificity was required when designing UI, an interactive experience where players solving the fifth level win a million dollars before moving into another dimension.

Several holographic doors were designed for the “Q Symphony” app. A puzzle-solving mystery, the game lures players to a house on Nob Hill where the doors are discovered, pathways to an inter-dimensional multiverse. Visually and conceptually bold, these assets were also used in an AR marketing prototype developed specifically for the show.

Territory created unique keypads from scratch. Each was custom made, designed, and animated with different interpretations in mind. Designs recall minimalistic interior home appliances and contemporary entrance door security systems. All photo-realistic renditions were composited, with each keypad specifically designed to control different aspects of any given environment, such as lighting and temperature.
