We were tasked by Spotify to create bespoke playlist art for WIRE, which celebrates post-punk, alt-rock, and moody indie rock. This new and exciting mixture of genres allowed us to explore a range of different routes that highlighted the history of alt-rock as well as celebrating what the new world might look like.
Our final route "GAFFER TAPE" is inspired by the live music scene, and uses Gaffer Tape to piece chaotic design elements together. Punk-esque iconography is spray painted onto the gaffer tape to help build the brand and connect with post punk, anti-establishment attitude that sums up the genre and its fans alike.
