Samia Hoque

We’re really proud of our staff at Territory Studio. Even if not directly involved in the awesome work we deliver to our clients, we each appreciate creativity and being creative, in whatever format.

If you’re here, you’ve probably already seen our work. Now we invite you to get to know us better. Starting with our creative teams, we’ll be asking questions and sharing not only TS project work, but personal creative projects and what really inspires us day to day.

Anthony Pond – UX Design Manager

I believe everyone who works in the creative industry has unique ways of synthesizing inputs consciously and unconsciously to deliver distinct and game-changing results

– Anthony Pond

Tell us a bit about you:

After graduating from Design For Industry in Newcastle I moved straight to London. After a decade consulting for Therefore, delivering products to market for brands such as Nike, TomTom, and Samsonite, I made the move to the West Coast of the USA! Being in the Bay Area has fostered my love of applying design thinking strategically across disciplines and adding value to businesses/clients in new and disruptive ways. Now I help the studio here in SF translate and deliver complex design challenges. These run the gamut from developing new HMI paradigms to visualizing and communicating the value of big data insights.

Who and/or what inspires you creatively?

Observing, identifying, and codifying patterns in the world helps me to discover opportunities and inspiration for creative approaches to design. Often this project-specific research allows for in-depth, subject-focused insights. Beyond this, I believe everyone who works in the creative industry has unique ways of synthesizing inputs consciously and unconsciously to deliver distinct and game-changing results.

These are a few of my favs that showcase inspiring beauty:

How long have you been at Territory?

During the past 4 years, I have worked alongside Territory Studio SF in a variety of capacities, and since 2019 I have had the privilege to call Territory home!

What’s been your favourite TS project to work on so far and why?

I will tell you a secret (mum’s the word). On August 6th, 2020, the first project I worked on will be released to the public. It is for a certain US automotive brand… watch this space.

Why did you want to work at Territory?

The chance, and challenge, to join a world-class team of exceptionally skilled, and nice humans – Territory really does have the team to deliver game-changing results. The speed and level of execution has kept pushing me to new levels of design output.
