For the worldwide reveal of MBC Game Studio’s debut title, 1,001 Threads of Mizan, Territory director David Adam Roth led with our motion graphics teams on a mission to carry audiences through generations of lost history, establish the mythology behind Mizan and arrive in the present with a sense of discovery and possibility.
David led the development of the film’s creative concept, narrative structure and cinematic language born out of the game’s narrative and an open visual brief. Inspired by the storytelling traditions of One Thousand and One Nights, the team conceived the world as a living storybook: a continuous journey through layered pages, physical cutouts and unfolding dioramas.
Rather than presenting a succession of disconnected tableaux, we designed the piece around an almost unbroken camera move. Each scene reveals the next, allowing history, mythology and gameplay promise to flow together as a single cinematic experience.
