The two-part brief included the creation of UI concepts for a key in-game holographic HUD device, as well as the creation of holographic assets and Camera Layout for a cutscene. Our involvement started with a collaborative R&D process between Territory and Guerrilla, aimed at exploring new mechanics and ways for a non-traditional UI system to exist in the game space.
Moving on to a holographic treatment for a 3 minute cutscene, which included creating the look for Hades, the core elements, Gaia and the overall environment, we contributed to the cinematography by emphasising the human element within the characters, thus heightening the emotional drama at that particular point in the game’s storyline.
Delivering our HUD UI concepts and cutscene treatment directly to Guerilla’s team, we were proud to have contributed to the HUD development of such an innovative game.
