Territory Studio drew from its visual and narrative capabilities to design on-screen VFX graphics and interactive elements for the Netflix sci-fi thriller, “Project Power.” Set in a dangerous world where pills provide users with temporary superpowers, the film serves as an intriguing twist on the superhero genre. Working closely with directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, and VFX Supervisor Ivan Moran, Territory designed elements featured on tablets, phones, and monitors used in the film.
Tasked with designing a complex surveillance system used by Teleios operatives, Territory created a sophisticated yet functional user interface revealing key information in easily comprehensible views for a variety of sets including hideouts, labs, and transportation.
Multimodal interface designs were composited into real-world graphics of phones and tablets. UI for mobile devices elaborate story beats, while tablets used by Teleios operatives seamlessly integrate neuromorphic analysis, visualizations measuring biofeedback results including body temperature and heart rate of test subjects placed in an experimental chamber aboard the Genesis freighter.
The interactive interface design was built for a complex surveillance system on the Genesis ship. A console of screens provides a global representation of action aboard the freighter, design enhancing situational awareness as the story reaches its explosive conclusion. Vessel schematics and graphics for breaking news footage were also produced as part of the complex design package.
