The Gray Man

In a made-up mission control room inside the Zbrka Castle, six large screens allowed the mercenaries to track the targets as they moved locations. This action was also monitored on eight desktop screens. The team created graphics for the screens and composited visuals for the body cameras, mercenaries’ vitals, tracking devices, maps, satellite imagery and CCTV footage.

Territory also came up with a bespoke thermal vision treatment for some of the footage shot in the dark, making sure audiences didn’t miss any detail in the action. Finally, the team produced 3D scanning visualisations of the castle, achieving a technical 3D scan version of the location.

For the mission control room, inside the CIA headquarters, Territory designed a large digital wall that tracked the opening mission in Bangkok. We came up with visuals such as satellite images and maps of Bangkok, but also CCTV and body camera footage for the operators’ monitors, staying true to the CIA’s style of graphics.

Territory designed graphics for additional sets in various locations throughout the film. The team created hospital screens, security camera graphics, and made-up news graphics for the fake news channel IBC. They also designed a custom made dual screen laptop for Agent Sierra Six to track CCTV footage inside CIA senior official Donald Fitzroy’s house, and in another set, the intercom of former Sierra Program handler Margaret Cahill’s house in Prague.
