Sketch Designs
Sketches for a working prototype began with stylizing of hands and knuckles, with different functional points of rotation and dexterity analyzed before the wrist and elbow were completed.
Territory worked with Atom Limbs to design the exoskeleton of the Atom Touch, the most advanced robotic arm in the world. The project required full 3D exoskeletal design of the Modular Prosthetic Limb, tasked with creating and illustrating a realistic flow of muscles and tendons covering the mind-controlled bionic arm. Final 3D concepts refine a more lifelike, sculptural portrayal of the human anatomy with straight aligned musculature along harder surfaces of the prosthesis. Softer materials were explored to cover sensitive areas of the luxurious limb, such as hand and fingers. The lifelike arm was also crafted with hardware space in mind, while easy access for maintenance also dramatically improves functionality and quality-of-life for amputees.
