We brought together a dream-team of heroes representing the best human of talents and characteristics. In brainstorming the concept, we looked for familiar figures that embody universally admired qualities and characteristics like courage, vision, intelligence, curiosity, wit and strategic thinking. The list includes: Amelia Earhart, Albert Einstein, Queen Elizabeth I, Mahatma Gandhi, Florence Nightingale, William Shakespeare.
Developing the characters and show concept, it was important to be able to create drama and tension that move the plot forward with rich comic moments. The result is a story in which each cloned baby subverts the qualities that their real character is known for. Facial and physical expressions have been designed to reflect a range of emotional and behavioural extremes that contradict the very achievements each one is famous for.
Babies need babysitters, missions need organisations and heroes need villains. A cast of secondary character teams were devised and developed to interact with our heroes, enrich this madcap world, provide material for story arcs and sub-plots and to highlight narrative themes.
