Michael Mason (Jason Statham), a former assassin living in self-imposed exile. When he rescues a young girl (Bodhi Rae Breathnach) from a deadly storm, their lives start to intertwine, and he must protect her while battling enemies from his past.
Black Bear Productions commissioned Territory Studio to manage on-set screen graphics in a number of scenes including the MI6 Command Centre, as well as wide and close-up shots of surveillance tech belonging to the team who are trying to take Mason down. This involved design of a graphics system for MI6 surveillance software that could be scaled-up to control room wall screens, but could also work on standard single display monitors and other multi-screen configurations.
The surveillance command centre in MI6 sights Mason triggering an alert. The large-scale data dashboard presents tiled media, data and information including live-feed, location data, face recognition, and audio capture.
Off the main surveillance floor, Roberta speaks with Maddison in the on-site data centre. Maddison provides the hard evidence that T.H.E.A. is more than just a tracking tool.
Her tech setup has less focus on live feeds and surveillance, and more emphasis on AI data visualisation, research, archive records, and information mapping.
Arthur Booth is ex-MI6, but long retired. During his tenure, he was the main architect of the T.H.E.A system, on realising it’s corruption he vowed to help Mason. Having built the technology, he knows its “blind spots”, and Arthur acts as the “overwatch” via his own terminal from which he hacks into the local grid to buy Mason time. He creates a “Digital Ghost” diversion, where he tricks T.H.E.A. into seeing Mason’s biometric signature in multiple locations at once, allowing Mason and Jessie to keep running undetected.
From his country estate, MI6 Acting Chief, Stephen Manafort is the main antagonist and Mason’s former handler. Manafort has access to the MI6 system, in his home setup, he uses a scaled down view of the main surveillance command centre system on a three-display setup.
